Well actually it is £125.

£25 to join the party a couple of weeks ago and £100 today to put myself forward as a candidate for the forthcoming EU elections.

Although I would really love to be an MEP I have no delusions of even getting shortlisted (unless of course the only other candidate is Tommy Robinson lol) and look at it as simply a donation to the party coffers.

I’m sure they would much more prefer someone who can spell and remember facts.

Bully for you. Good luck.
I pay tax, so i guess i donate every day
Well done Cassa. Someone who is putting their money where their mouth is.

Good luck. And if you get elected, give them hell.
I wouldn’t bet on it.
Aspiring to board the gravy train you're dead against. Ironic.

MEPs get 7,957 euros a month, so it could be a good investment.
sorry, that was out of date. It's now €8,757.70 plus half as much again for expenses. A sinecure worth buying.

Cannary, I’d much rather it was someone who wanted to end the gravey train than someone who actually wanted to keep it going so they can continue to lining their pockets.

But I don’t expect you to understand that. How ironic is that!

I haven’t a hope in hells chance of even getting selected but it will be a fun way to donate.

I’ll let you know when I get taken off the list lol
What happens if there are no elections and Brexit happens? Do you get your money back? A chance of helping Nigel choose his new car? Free drinks at the Billy Britain Brexit Bash?

Funny things happen - Jeremy Corbyn...
Well I mean obviously I hope you don't win if you do end up standing, but also good for you for putting your time and money forward.

To be fare some of my spelling mistakes are are simply typos and autocorrect lol.

Well good for you cassa333. :-)

I’m working on the assumption I didn’t get to the next stage of The Brexit Party candidate for MEP contest.

They have a big reveal of the candidates in Birmingham this weekend and I haven’t been invited lol
Question Author
Well sadly I didn’t get to be a Brexit MEP candidate.

It would have been nice for them to have just dropped me an email saying so rather than make the assumption I’d been released when they had the launch lol
