It's a very entertaining series that got me hooked however if you do some googling it's not all quite how it seems, especially the two fathers - they are worth millions.
Sounds like a prequel to Star Trek.
I also find this series very watchable, despite the clear ‘set-ups’. They are obviously a very knowledgeable family. The negatives are (a) the numerous continuity errors, e.g. taking aim right-handed then shooting left-handed or different horses being ridden by the same rider whilst purportedly making the same ‘journey’ and (b) the lack of gun safety skills, primarily Jane waving her gun around whilst walking directly behind Adz Lee, something which should never happen. These things aside, the series is informative and enjoyable.
