....thank you for the link in a previous post about Beddoes closure in Heywood. My dad was born in Heywood (George Street) and my ancestors started the shop. I have the same surname. The family showed great promise in the Victorian retail sector, but sadly, as I said before, they piddled it all against the wall. If only..... :o(

Thanks. My family name isn't Beddoes, BTW. It's the other one in the report. There are some others in this area, but not many.
