What is the correct name to use (if I wanted to do an online search for problems for example) for the system that makes a car automatically lock the doors as you drive off?

car auto lock system
power door locks
Can't seem to find anything to help though.
What's the problem?
Question Author
Oh is it just auto lock :-(
power door looks like that's when the driver pushes a button to make all the doors lock but I mean the automatic system.
Problem is as soon as I turn hard right or go over a bump they unlock and don't go down again. It's minor but something must be wrong.
My Volvo calls it "Automatic locking" - when the car reaches about 5mph all the doors lock.
Central Locking System?
VAG call it "automatic speed-dependent locking and unlocking system"...operates at 15km/hr (9mph)
Question Author
Yes it does seem to be auto lock (or automatic locking). Not the same as central locking. Thanks for all input, I can search now
Can be abled or disabled ( look in car handbook ), most probably a dodgy connector or printed circuit board in the central locking module.
You can get them second hand fairly cheap.
