I would be very grateful if someone could tell me why Jeremy Corbyn has been accused of anti-semitism. I am not that well up on politics and it seems really odd that someone from the Labour party (which is supposed to be the nicer, less racist party) should be capable of such a thing. What have I missed?

The suggestion isn't really that Corbyn is directly anti-Semitic himself but that he's failed to deal with anti-Semitism within his party:

A popular search engine brought this up, which should bring you up to speed:

And this should bring you right up to the minute with latest developments:
Corbyn criticised over handling of anti-Semitism cases https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47845390
Besides the links provided he also cosies up to what he calls his friends 'Hamas'. A terrorist organisation who want to wipe Israel off the map.
He compares the Israelis to Nazis.

there seem to be some anti-Semites in the Labour party, as there seem to be some Islamophobes in the Tory party; in both cases they tend to get off fairly lightly. I don't think Corbyn is one, but he seems to have a lofty disdain for rebutting such personal accusations, and this just lets protests grow louder.
^^^ That's confusing 'anti-Semitism' with 'anti-Zionism', Retrocop. They're not the same. (There are even some Jews who're strongly anti-Zionist).
For political reasons: e.g. -
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently accused Donald Trump of the same offence:

Fortunately other Jews have a different opinion and 'it speaks volumes' :

"...Labour party (which is supposed to be the nicer, less racist party)..."

Why on earth would Labour be considered the "nicer" party?.
Perhaps because they prioritise society and care rather than individuals attracting wealth by using others ?
I doubt that any party allied with Momentum could be described as nice,
I’m at a loss to understand why anyone thinks Labour is the ‘nicer’ party.

OG, //Perhaps because they prioritise society and care rather than individuals attracting wealth by using others ?//

You’re surely not still falling for that old cherry, are you? Do you mean those individuals who contribute more to the wealth of the country as a whole and provide the nation with jobs?

The Institute for Fiscal Studies shows that about 90% of income tax is paid by the 50% of taxpayers with the highest incomes, while more than a quarter is paid by the richest 1%.

Their largesse with other people's money certainly knows no bounds.
"The Institute for Fiscal Studies shows that about 90% of income tax is paid by the 50% of taxpayers with the highest incomes, while more than a quarter is paid by the richest 1%."

Income tax is only a fraction of the total tax take. Over three-quarters of the Government’s income comes from other taxes.

Chart shows the different sources of government revenue. Public sector current receipts are expected to be around £744 billion in 2017-18.

sevenOP, indeed, but I referred specifically to Income Tax simply because OG would like to see a 100% band introduced.
Since Momentum seem to be running the show at Labour I dont think they can claim the title of the nicer, less racist party.
Jeremy himself isn't antisemitic
How do you know, spath?
Because as a young man Corbyn protested in support for the Jewish community.

Did you read the whole of that report?
