Is it legally permissible to open or retain a French bank account if you move from France to England?

Do any U.K. banks operate in France and, if so, which most prominently?

In France are people allowed to take money from their pension early, and if so from what age and how much maximum?

Breaking your question into 3 parts:

1. To the best of my knowledge the UK authorities would have no problem with your retaining a French bank account, or from any other country (as long as you can answer any money laundering questions).

The French authorities may take a different view (if I remember correctly I had to close my son's French account after he returned to the UK from his French university, as he had no income to service the account).

2. Most UK banks have pulled out of Europe since the banking crisis of 2008, but HSBC have still maintained their French network:

The larger French banks used to have a presence in London, but for commercial purposes not retail customers.

3. You would need to discuss this question with a French Financial Advisor.
oh my take - considering that I have never worked in France - is
1) yes both sides dont give a toss
opening an account and retaining an acct are different and so I deffo wouldnt close one
the same MLR ( money laundering rules ) are the same (EU).
2. any bank - they like the colour of your money
3 no - or they all would - pensions are a very different structure - they arent trust based ( no trusts in euro law) and are looked on as deferred wages
