On 02:26 Sun 10th Mar 2019, I posted the following question to the Editor's Blog:
“Why Do You Shut Down Active Threads?”
I then went on to explain why a thread involving me and a false allegation about me had been locked down, preventing any further debate. I received no reply.
Now, a week or so later, I return to see if the AB editors had anything to say on the matter. And lo and behold, the entire exchange on the Editor's Blog has been eviscerated from the site. It's as though my question was never asked. The original question thrown down Winston Smith's “Memory Hole” in true 1984 totalitarian fashion.
Nice one AB. Nice one. Censoring legitimate debate about the matter of legitimate debate. You must be so proud. I hope you sleep well at night in your beds, safe in the knowledge that you are the true custodians of morality and righteousness and that all opinions that differ from your own are illegitimate and morally deficient.
You censorious ***-wits. I don't normally swear on forums such as this but seeing as this post will likely be immediately deleted because of the criticism of AB rather than the profanity, I simply don't care anymore.

Because I don't ever want them to think that they have got the better of me, or have 'won' because I don't answer them.
In the main, verbal abuse bothers me not in the slightest, I am far to confident in myself to be bothered by my intellectual inferiors sniping at me, I only bother than it takes threads off course.
I am amused by the hardcore few who obviously seethe at my status as a Moderator, some frequently ask "How are you / do you remain a Moderator"
I rarely reply, but what I think is, I am a Moderator because the Editor at the time judged me to be suitable, and subsequent Editors have seen no reason to change that view. I also think, I am a Moderator, and even though you hate it, I am planning to remain as one, and by your nasty sniping, you have proved again that you will never be asked to be a Moderator, so snipe away, I don't care.
Because I don't ever want them to think that they have got the better of me, or have 'won' because I don't answer them.

ever and frankly pathetic.
You write as though you are accusing annieasquith of nasty sniping and as a result of her nasty sniping she will never be a moderator.
I took it that annieasquith had some empathy with the flak you take and only questioned why you bother to answer those who apparently revile you.
