I'd go for cheap. Anything that's cheap is down-market, cheapo, bottom of the heap.

Many thanks one and all. I have decided to go with cheap as (as bookbinder says) it is to be treated with contempt! :)
bookbinder- I'm pretty sure the "deserving contempt did you say?" means the answer sounds like "cheap"
Tinocci cheap is incorrect.I submitted on line with cheep which was accepted.
Ah well, we tried. But maybe the setter has slipped up and cheap fits
