I saw this link and purchased 3 cameras for the prices stated. This morning I got an email stating the following:

Unfortunately due to a system error the item ordered was priced incorrectly.
Therefore the order has been aborted/cancelled.

Can they do this as they have taken my money out of account already.

I want to send an email demanding my goods but am unsure where I stand legally. Do I have any rights and if so what should I say in the email.

You could argue that because the funds have been taken from your account the seller has accepted the price.
I suppose its worth a try but dont be disappointed if you lose out, it was obviously a mistake and thats why you bought 3.
i think under the trade descriptions act they have to sell it at the price stated when you placed your order, therefore you should be entitled to them. i'm not sure on that though. i expect someone with more knowledge will soon answer but in the mean time i would phone citizens advice, they will tell you where you stand. good luck xXx
There are good answers on the petrol thread that redcrx posted a link to. A shop does not have to sell you a product at the price that is displayed. By taking a product up to a counter, the customer is offering to buy the product at the price shown, but the seller is within their rights to not accept this offer. A website is basically like a shop window - displaying their goods at a price. A contract is formed when the shop actually accepts your offer of purchasing the item (not to be confused with just confirming your order).

To me, taking your money is a pretty clear sign that they have accepted your order, but there may be some way they can get out of it.

Out of interest.....your link doesn't work for me, what were the cameras priced at? and what should they have been?

6.50 or something like that, should be about 150.
Contact 'Which' magazine, they'll tell you what this company can and can't do and will help you fight for your purchase if they think you're in the right. Surely having taken your money they owe you the goods? Accepting someone's money is a contract?
As others have said on this and the other thread, there are times when courts can declare a contract void if a company has just made a mistake, which something like this seems obvious that's what it was. However, a company can't rely on this because of all the weird and wonderful offers you can find on the internet. An example used is that of bol.com, who in a happy hour gave away 20,000 books for free online.
Why do these idiots keep coming up with this stupid nonsence. When an obvious mistake has been made, there no way that the retailer can be forced to lose money. If you agreed to buy something then found out the contract said the price was ten times as much by mistake - would you still pay for it. Ovbviously, of course, you do need the
the intervention here of Mrs. Loosehead who will come and totally confuse the issue.

Beriluim - No need for insults fella just after a bit of advise.

They advertised a product for a certain price and accepted my money, I didn't force them to take they money out of my account.

If I paid over 10 times the amount for something that would be my mistake and I would only have myself to blame. It's like when your in a shop, mistakes with change cannot be rectified once you have walked away from the till.

They made a mistake they should honour the price on the site.
