Lovely morning again, so an early start and get weaving in the garden for an hour or so. Had my annual cardio vascular check up yesterday and all is good. Can put off the "wind operation" for another year. Flat racing kicks off on the turf and tells us that the year inexorably moves on. Small stakes and an ITV7.

Equilateral @7/2 1.50 Doncaster
Big Country @12/1 2.05 Kempton
Gulf Of Poets @8/` 2.25 Doncaster
Red Starlight @7/1 3.00 Doncaster.

£1.00 E/W Acca. 6 X 30p Doubles. 4 X 30p Trebles. £5.00 stake.

Doing Beringer in the 3.35 Lincoln E/W and making up an ITV7 with the last 4 of those selections + Soldier's MInute 2.40 Kemp, Desert Wind 3.15 Kemp, Vancouver 2.30 Strat.

The Lincoln seemed like a massive race when I was young. Not much fanfare now. Something to do with the all-weather, I suppose.

Morning Spice. True. Used to be the big launch for the flat season but now has less "impact" due to the dirt racing. Shame really.
True spicerack. I always used to look forward to the flat season when it started with a 3 day televised Doncaster meeting. Used to cross over the Pennines regularly for the 3 days but, as you say, the all weather winter meetings give the impression that the flat season is endless. Thereby taking much of the gloss from the Lincoln. Sad, but true.
Best of luck with your selections, Togo. Glad to hear that you're not going to be Hobdayed anytime soon. Just about to start looking at the stats. Back later.
I've crunched the numbers, put the slide-rule away for the day, wet my finger and held it up to see which way the wind's blowing. I've helped an old lady cross a busy road (not sure whether she wanted to cross?), found my lucky rabbits tail (unlucky for the rabbit) and have watched 2 magpies land on my garden wall (i closed my eyes while the other 3 landed). So, no stone left unturned and all that, here are today's winners :-)

£2 win Humbert @ 14/1 in the Lincoln

1.50 Don; Eirene @ 10/1
2.25 Don; Exec Chef @ 6/1
2.40 Kem; Desert Doctor @ 7/1
3.15 Kem; Caspar The Cub @ 10/1

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = approx £84, 4 winners = approx £8,933.

ITV 7; as above plus Matterhorn, American Tom and Sharja Bridge

Easy innit? :-)
4 Rev f/c with my lucky 15 selections; Equilateral, Rampant Lion, Soldiers Minute and Count Calabash.
Also a £1 e.w. acca on my ITV 7 - aiming for the stars :-))
