Most of the finalists have made a decent career after Master Chef. I'm not being ageist but she's coming up to retirement age. Would she be able to cope in a busy kitchen.

Although saying that...My mother is 65 and is fitter than me :-)

I'm just watching the final now.

I don't see the point in entering a competition like MC if you have intentions to take it further.

I can't watch Mary Berry. As lovely as she comes across her hands make me wince. They just look so painful.

I don’t think age is relevant. If she doesn’t want to take it further, so be it. Entering a prestigious competition and winning is, in itself, quite an achievement.

Yes it is. And her food has always looked lovely. I just think most of the contestants enter because they want a career change.

We watched the one show before the final was shown and the finalists were on it. From the look of them and the way they spoke both of us thought that it was Irini who won and we were right. Don't know why they do this every year as they nearly always give the winner away.
