So the boss of Bet365 the "online betting company "earned" 265 MILLION pounds last year.

This 48 million MORE than she "earned" last year.

Of course this is all paid for by the huge losses made by most of the silly people who gamble.

So I hope you gamblers who next bemoan the fact your bet did not come in just remember you are helping to pay this ladies huge salary.

We can all see who the stupid ones are in this arrangement, and it is not this lady or the others who help run her company

Sadly for the people who have a real gambling addiction it is often the case of going into a huge debt, or losing your family and house, or even taking you own life.

But as long as this lady is doing ok that's the main thing !

david: get your drift, but I have more time for people! (Although I’d agree that animals can teach us a lot about living).

People from an early age are presented with a Paved With Gold world, just out of their reach, and can never quite earn enough. But they can always have an innocent(?) punt, and who knows, they might win enough for entry to The Golden City.

Oh yeah?

Blame people of course to a degree, but they’re not entirely at fault.
//Nobody forces people to bet.// I totally agree Waterboatman - and nobody forces people to smoke, drink, overeat etc etc. Addiction is a terrible thing, but unless recognised and faced up to, nothing will change. I speak as one who was married to a gambler for 30 years.
You say that and I agree that's a crazy amount of money for anyone to earn but there are operators that do a lot of good to help gamblers too like these guys - https://www.playojo.com/responsible-gaming/. So it's not all negative, merry christmas!
