Seborrheic Keratosis

Has anyone here had a seborrheic keratosis removed by laser?

I haven't, I had one removed by the minor surgery GP in my practice, assume with some kind of scalpel, tiny stitch and dressed. It was on my back though so I wasn't that bothered about any small scar.

I do, however, have one though in a more visible area, which is becoming increasing more sore and problematic, so I'm also interesting in any other option which might mean less of a scar, or chance of it coming back.

Having now spoken to a couple of private places, it seems that laser removal isn't that widely offered. Cryosurgery is the most widely used and laser is best for flat keratosis. I have some good options around my local area and I have found a really good private hospital so I will ask them what they advise. It's not going to be cheap but that's life I guess.

Cryotherapy is usually the norm but they can drop off of their own accord and they're pretty harmless and not to be confused with actinic keratoses which can progress to skin cancer.

If you're worried about them, see a Dermatologist and get them Cryo'd off.

LadyCG - Seborrheic keratosis don't drop off. Eve - I`ve found a great private hospital just a few miles down the road and I didn't even know it existed. They phoned me and gave me details of all of the specialists and the names and numbers of their secretaries. I will contact them soon and make an appointment ( I was waiting until I came back from my holiday as I didn't want the sun on any treatments that I may have).
