Greetings. I'm moving house in the next couple of weeks to somewhere that doesn't have any type of phone line and therefore no broadband.
I use my laptop a lot for internet browsing and catching up on the occasional TV programme. It's been suggested I use a Dongle and subscribe to either a pay as you go package or pay monthly.
O2 do a 60gb usage per month package for around £25 p/m which i'm happy to pay. However, i know nothing about these things...the pros and cons and will 60gb be enough?
Any help in the most basic layman's terms would be most welcome.
Cheers

If you don't stream a lot of videos it should be plenty unless you've got a houseful of kids playing video games over the internet.

60GB for £25 is good value. Check the speed you will get from the new house before you buy.

You should be able to check how much data you use now - who's your supplier?

Current supplier is sky.

Only me at home and only watch a few catchup programmes such as masterchef, gardeners world etc.
I don't know anything about Sky but is there any data usage info on their home page?

Alternatively, if you use just one device on the internet you check your data usage on the Windows settings page (assuming you use Windows)
Get a phone line installed.

It's not my property
"doesn't have any type of phone line and therefore no broadband"

That doesn't necessarily follow. I have cable broadband but don't have any type of phone line.
That's because Virgin or Kingston Comms has laid a cable to your property, JimF.
Clearly, yes.
