Don't know about carrot oil (?) but coconut oil is used to accelerate a tan (or burning). It offers no protection at all. What exactly do you want - a sunscreen or a fast tan product with no protection, they are quite different?
Piz Buin. Used it for years. £4.99 in Savers. I use the lotion spray.
do you know what sun tan lotion actually does??
Better off using sun block and fake tan.
Ok maybe not block, one does need vitamin D topped up.
I was at a party last night and one of my friend's daughters was there - since I last saw her she has lost over 3 stone and a beautiful golden colour. told me she uses

Dove moisturising tan - don't know the correct name but it was beautiful. Look out for that pj
sorry I didn't see Eleena's post - so there ya go
You spend a lot of time in Thailand?
Some people spread a thin film of baby oil on their body to achieve a tan.
That works best when you're lying on tinfoil, sanmac
Hc, I have actually seen some people using a largish piece of cardboard covered with aluminum-foil angled so that it reflects the sun onto their face.
Yep, and on the chest so the rays reflect under the chin and on the neck.
I have seen people cover themselves with olive oil and even cheap cooking oil but it really attracts the wasps and flies :D
It never fails to amuse me seeing how many people spend 50 weeks a year saying how much they hate 'coloured ' people, and 2 weeks trying to look like one!
I haven’t seen anyone use one of those reflective things in decades. And the people who used them are either dead or have very wrinkly skin - unless they’ve fixed it with fillers and the like.

Never heard of carrot oil. Coconut oil will not help you tan, but will not be good when you burn. The oil will keep the heat in and it’ll be agony to wash off.

Get a fairly high factor to start with and reduce the factor as you gradually tan.
Eddie, I like to get a tan on hols, but I’ve never said I hate ‘coloured people.’
Coconut oil *can* be used for sunburn...but only after the skin has cooled, as Clover says.
