On the basis of seeing a hedgehog once last year I have spent a small fortune on hedgehog stuff - and it’s paid off! He/she is visiting at least three times a night and has been consistent at visiting about 7.30 to fill his face and have a mouch about. We’ve even got video of him washing his face in his water bowl (or that’s what it looks like).

Well done, a great result.
Well done, maybe more will start coming now.

Any advice needed talk to Waterboatman, he's had them as visitors for years now.
Wait til he leaves you a present - in his food dish!

Other things to watch out for on the video is when he has an itch - those back legs have some reach!, eating a windfall plumb, eating melon slices (there is a fruit they are not suposed to eat - can't remember if its mango, grapefruit or watermelon), or even eating a mouse!

I saw mine for 2 days at the start of March - then the temperature dropped - he usually comes back when the clocks change.

They are my favourite animal (after our cat) and I am so chuffed that he’s visiting. We have to sort the back fence out and we’ve told the man that lives there that we are going to leave a (big) gap for him to get in and out. Hopefully he’ll bring his mates round too (or turn out to be a she and have babies - squeal!!).
I'll be jealous if you get babies - none of mine have had any (or if they have they haven't brought them to me!)

I get my food from arkwildlife.co.uk and birdfood.co.uk and dogfood from Aldi and Lidl.

When I was a kid (about 10) I found an injured hedgehog who I took home. She had babies but she died and all of the babies died except one - my mother fed it every two hours with a pipette (I think she even took it to work with her) but it didn’t survive more than a couple of days. I’ve loved them ever since.
That is great, they must be lovely to watch.

He/she is lush - eats in the feeding station with its bum sticking out. Eldest daughter is the biggest fan (and the one who’s read the instructions on how to work the camera).
Mine was back overnight.

Last year I had 2 - so I might have 2 again.

Morning Tuvok - that’s good, ours was here four times last night (according to our camera), think he’s fallen in love with the supply of food :)
What do you feed them? I had a visiting hedgehog a few years ago and I was told to leave out dog food. He didn't touch it and toddled off, never to be seen again.
awwwww

I just got a bag of dried hedgehog food which he seems to love.
you are very lucky .i'd love hedgehogs in our garden but alas just get foxes and very destructive badgers who dig the lawn up .x
Aldi/Asda/Lidl dog food (not fish or gravy) - I go for the ones in Aldi that are in the small trays so not in jelly (if it was a can sometimes there's more jelly than meat.)

I also have the seed mix and pellets from Arkwildlife (see my earlier post) - they are cheaper than Birdfood.

Dish of water NOT milk. NO bread.
