'Nearly half of the British public is confident that the UK will ultimately thrive if it leaves the EU without a deal, according to a new poll.
The exclusive ComRes survey for The Daily Telegraph found that 46 per cent of adults think leaving without a deal would “briefly cause some uncertainty but ultimately work out OK”, compared with 40 per cent who support extending Article 50.'

Quite amazing synchronicity though: a load of people were asked what they thought and nearly half said the same thing :-)
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: polls or questionnaires - on no matter what subject - with a series of stock responses are a curse.

The key word there is 'confident'...
The only confident thing anyone can say about the whole Brexit affair is that it has been a disgrace that the Government failed to competently apply themselves to the task in hand.

I maintain that you if you’re going to have an option that specific, then you’d need scores of similar ones. You basically have a series of predefined channels you are coaxing people to choose from and they need therefore to be a lot more general even than “turn out ok”. I think a No deal Brexit will “turn out ok” too, but then I’m not going to lose my job over it ...

jim; What are you scared of? Why will no deal be a "disaster" , have you been paying too much attention to the scaremongerers?
In my life, I've had bombs dropped on me on a nightly basis, I've been hungry (really hungry) and survived living in foreign countries for long periods without any money, plus many more rather unmentionable things .
Nothing like this is going to happen with a no deal/wto Brexit, you might have trouble for a short while finding Mars bars, etc, but whatever happens it will be quickly put to rights in short order, businesses will see to that.

DTC, Barclays (one bank) has moved 190 billion to Dublin (15% of its business affecting just 5000 clients) with the creation of 150 jobs there and few losses to the 3000 here. From what I hear from the City (which is quite a lot) the only thing that concerns the Financial industry is uncertainty. London will not become a financial backwater. If that were imminent you’d have seen business heading for the hills, lock stock and barrel, long before now. Stop scaremongering.

If the Welsh sheep-farmers lose out, they can easily be subsidised in the short term out of the 39 billion saved.
The car industry is in turmoil word-wide because of electric and nothing whatsoever to do with Brexit.
Regard the 39 billion being "already" moved, what hard facts do you have of that? It is Project fear on steroids, and depends on whom you want to believe.
