I have a TV with a DVD player in the bedroom but never get around to watching my favourite dvds.

Is there a dvd player out there (very basic) with not too much installation to the TV so that I can play them downstairs. Thanks

That's what all DVD players do. They usually just have a single lead between the TV and the player. You would then have to use the 'source' or 'input' on the TV remote, to tell it which lead to use e.g. HDMI1 / HDMI2 / Scart 1 / Scart 2.
