When my e-mails arrive they are just inserted in the existing list in random order; it's not alphabetical or chronological. Is there any way I can move them about ?

//Question Author: I have webmail from Plusnet// Assuming, then, that you're actually reading on the Plusnet site: If you click on the little triangle at the far left of the column headings you'll see a dropdown menu. Under "List View Mode" select "Threads" to group by topic. Under "Sorting Column" select "Arrival Date" to display in date order.

What email system are you using? Gmail / outlook / hotmail?
Surely it must use some rule to decide where the new one goes. Are you sorting them on sender name maybe ?
In Outlook, for example, there are various columns with headings such as from, subject, size and received.

If you click on "received", you can sort the e-mails to show them in the order they were received (newest or oldest first.)

I have webmail from Plusnet and if I have 2 or more e-mails on the same topic I'd like to group them together.
I'm not sorting them at all, Old Geezer, I want to be able to do so.
To change how webmail displays your emails:
Click Personal Settings.
Choose what you want to change from the list under Section.
Make your changes and click Save.

May help to know if you are accessing them from the Plusnet site, or downloading them to an e-mail client on your PC. And if the latter, which client.
