Am for implantologist tomorrow - they are inserting the crowns for colour and adjustments and then in a week or two the final crowns. The end is nigh - thank God.

giz - keep looking for you but miss you by the hour. Anyway I think they take the screws out *(silver buttons) - screw in the crowns then adjust for colour and fitting - then out they come and go away for the adjustments. Giz do you know how long I will wait for the crowns ie final leg of the journey.
Best of luck with tomorrow, soon be the result you've wanted x

thanks mamy - do hope they are a success
jj - I hope everything goes smoothly & comfortably for you :-) x
Question Author
ohhhhhhhhhhhh so do I - then just before the implantologist - have to go to doctor's for an MOT - I tried to cancel the doctor's appointment but they say it won't take long - like bloods taken.

Nurse/doctor at half 10

Implantologist at 12 - if there is any lateness - I'll be cutting it to a fine toothcomb in more ways than one.
My final appointment was 3 weeks later.
However, I think that that was partly down to available time slots on a day that was convenient for me. I'm sure that they said 2 weeks ish, but the earliest appointment that I could make it was a week later.

.... well worth the wait though :)
Question Author
ok thanks Giz - if I've waited all this time I can wait a little more

well got the trial teeth done today and it was pretty painful - thank goodness I got freeze which he said I didn't need but I did.

3 weeks time new teeth will finally go in and I will be so glad to get it all over and just hope everything goes well.
Another step nearer - well done JJ x

you better believe it Mamy - I know a lot of ABers are going for more horrid things than me but this has been pretty gruelling.

However when I put my tongue to feel the "trial teeth" today - they felt good no plastic fiddly bits in my mouth. Hope the real thing is good. Mind you the rest of my teeth are not in a healthy state but it is what it is.
Oooh - getting all excited for you now JJ. I know how you're probably feeling - having been there myself :)

As for the final teeth, they'll be at least as good, probably better (is that possible) than your "trial teeth".
Question Author
thanks Giz - you have been through it - the mill - the type of person I am - I want to know the nitty gritty of every single thing you are doing ie dentist and procedures. I now know if I knew the "nitty gritty" - I wouldn't have gone through it.

however as I have said when I felt the trial teeth today - they felt good. Thanks for being on the journey as you said "it is a journey". 1st April is my final resting place LOL.
