I want a new 4-port extension for our Macbook Pro, and Belkin have always been a 'good name'.

Are they still a good name? Anyone recommend any other hubs - one problem with our current one is that it takes up too much room when plugged in to one of the two USB ports on the Macbook, making the other port unusable while the extension is plugged in!

This works very neatly - only 3 ports, but the micro-usb card reader is useful :

I have one very similar to the one recommended by sunny-dave . Would definitely recommend it.

fbg - does it take up more than its fair share of space when you plug it in to your laptop?

I'm reverting to the Belkin, as on reading Amazon's reviews (for which thank god and vice versa), "HOWEVER - it IS NOT compatible with a 2014 Mac Mini running on OS Sierra 10.12.4 as it conflicts with computer's internet connectivity and has ejection issues."

I have a Mac Mini 2014 running Sierra!

Apologies ! Only just seen your reply. Mine is plugged in to my desktop PC not a laptop. However, it is really compact - 9cm wide x 5cm deep x 3cm high. Hope this helps - if it's not too late !
