Ipad Slow

Anybody got some advice my iPad has recently become slow intermittently with accepting key strokes, what do I need to clean out?

Are you fully up to date on the iOS?

No last time I downloaded Apple update crashed puter and needed Apple shop to sort it, but guess it's worth another try going to town tomorrow anyway, so if it goes *** up again will pay them a visit. I will download lastest software now

Zacs checked Apple website says I have latest version loaded but in process closed a few open windows, that seems to have been problem, back to normal keyboard response time now
