Hi

My ex partner was sent to prison for violently assaulting me on 1st August 18, he sent me a letter from prison on 11th August whilst remanded awaiting sentencing at crown court, breaching my non molestation order. It’s finally going to court on 20th February 19.

When he was finally sentenced I had a lifetime restraining order issued by the court.

He was released early and tagged he sent me 45 emails in one day in November 18 and was sentenced for breaching the restraining order in December 18. He got a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months!

I have written a victim impact statement which I was never asked to do for the email breach.

He’s obviously still on license atm.

Will the suspended sentence get activated and what is the likely sentence for sending me this letter from prison whilst on remand ? This letter effected me really badly !!

Thanks

He has clearly breached his Licence terms. You need to report all this to your solicitor or the Police URGENTLY . He should be sent straight back to jail. He will NOT be given a second chance. The suspended sentence will be activated !

This has now been referred to Crown Court for sentencing (he pleaded guilty). He was released on unconditional bail, however that evening he bombarded me with a further 72 messages which has been reported (I never responded), so I am now awaiting his arrest again for breaching my Restraining Order, which will be any day now....the police wont have any difficulty finding him as has still on licence and he has to reside permanently at an fixed address ( however he has no regard to court orders so you never know )

I honesty cant believe he got released on unconditional bail as he was already recently sentenced in December for breaching my Restraining order, its seems daft.

I'm wondering if they will remand him this time !

This is getting very frustrating !!
hopefully he will be picked up and detained very soon..until then..stay safe.. xx

Thank you murrymints, I have defiantly upped my security over the last week. I cant wait till my house is sold and I can move to make a complete fresh start, as its like living in a prison cell with panic alarms, windows & doors constantly locked, letterbox jammer, personal safety alarm, CCTV camera and I am on fast response with the police, all due to this idiot.

Hes been charged with 2 offences, breaching my non molestation order & lifetime restraining order

He’s been recalled back to prison (standard recall) and everything has been referred to Peterborough Crown Court for sentencing together on 21st March along side the breach for writing to me whilst on remand.

I’m so relieved

I think he will be looking at a very long sentence

He only served 11 weeks from a 45 week sentence, was tagged for 11 weeks, so therefore will he have to serve the remaining 34 weeks in prison plus the additional sentences he will get on 21st ?
