It's a cider flagon, Drywite Ltd, Cradley Heath, Staffs, imprinted on it.
And also the notice that the deposit charge is 2/-. Two shillings, or 10p in modern money.

What is it made of?
Is it like a stoneware container with a little looped handle, if so some folks collect them and their worth is entirely determined by how rare each manufacturer is x

Hi Sandy btw lovely to have you back x
It's not a cider flagon, it's a non brewed condiment for chippies. The company is still in business.
Probably £10 on eBay

It can't be that old. My recently late FIL had a GP Practice in Barrs Road Cradley Heath which is Sandwells local authority of West Midlands not Staffs. If the flagon has Cradley Heath Staffs it probably is no older than 90 years I would guess.
