Not sure this is the correct category. How would entering into a Civil Partnership affect my state pension? I am a divorced woman with a state pension (6 years short of full) and a very small civil service pension. My partner worked for over 40 years and he has a full pension. Would entering into a French PAC s agreement affect it in the same way? TIA

I thought pensions were paid to individuals now and not based on a figure for couples but maybe it's more compleicate dfor longerstanding cases, and maybe there are implications if either currently gets pension credit.
It's worth asking the civil service pension scheme trustees and also asking Citizens Advice regarding the state pension
