Off course that`s Granada not Grenada
The chances of paying at door are usually pretty slim especially if you want to visit the main palaces which are on a time slot basis. I would pre book if I were you and do it in plenty of time before you want to go as it does get very busy. I went with a tour which had it all in the price of the ticket but went in June and it was too hot, well into the 40s.
You must definitely book in advance. Its difficult to image the scale of the popularity of these sites these days, but tourists are travelling from all over the world, and the number of visitors has to be capped in order to avoid over crowding.

Book your time slot as soon as you can, and when you are there take a taxi up to the entrance as its a long climb and not very pedestrian friendly. Tell them you need to be there half an hour before you actually do! That way you will not miss your slot if there is a queue. Once in it is beautiful. Well worth the effort.
