How Do I Edit A Short Video To Take A Little Off The End Of It On An Iphone 7?

I get as far as pressing the exit button, sliding the length along to the place I want to edit, then the 'con's button isn't highlighted so I don't complete? Any help please?

Tried that zacs, it shows the yellow editing outline but still no completion of editing action?

As in a 'done' completed action.

You might have to do a ‘save as’.
