I keep getting a little message flashing up on my desktop p.c. screen from a news website in the southern of UK. It's beginning to annoy now, I don't ever remember subscribing to this and I am not following this on FB - can someone help me with advice as to how to stop these flashes. Basically, they flash up on my screen in the form of a little black (with white text) window on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. Had loads of them today and they are a real pain! Any help would be gratefully accepted, please. Cheers, Chox.

You will need to go to the specific website and find the setting to turn off "notifications" from it. How to do this depends on your internet browser but on Chrome, go to the specific website, then click on a padlock on the left of the address bar and go to "Site settings" that appears at the bottom. On the new window that opens, fourth down there should be a "Notifications" option. If it's set to "Allow" then change it to "Block".

Hope that helps.

Many thanks Jim360. Have given it a go as you suggested and I think it's worked - I don't seem to have had any more "pushes" from that website, so I am delighted. Really driving me dotty! Cheers, Chox.
Glad to have helped!
