What will be the worst company to see go after (or even before) brexit?

It's OK thought brexit will be really good for all of us because we're so powerful on our own.

"To retain its operating licence in Europe, IAG, which owns British Airways and Iberia, must show it is more than 50%-owned and controlled by EU investors. So, IAG is capping non-EU investment - except for UK shareholders, who will be counted as part of the EU even after Brexit."
Labour costs are so much cheaper in Eastern Europe without any minimum wage laws
Honda have plants in France and Italy which are apparently unaffected. Apparently they are also in discussions to open a new one in Spain but I haven't been able to find any information on that.

I'd guess they are saying it's not related to Brexit to be diplomatic snd because they don't want public backlash.

On twitter a honda spokesperson said their turkey factory is also closing down, this is not a direct result of brexit but a knock on affect. Like the straw that broke the camels back

I'm going to have to find it now.
Haha Ryzen…...for a minute or two I thought I was on a different site. (^_*)

"The statement made no reference to Britain's decision to leave the European Union, and Honda CEO Takahiro Hachigo said in Tokyo that the decision was not related to Brexit."

"an autos expert and professor of strategic management at Warwick Business School, said that Brexit "must have been a factor" in Honda's decision."

Interesting.
Krom both France and Italy have very heavy penalties for companies leaving their countries, we don't.
The car industry is going through turmoil at the moment. A lot of the blame can be put at the door eco-maniacs and the climate change fanatics. They have been pushing their anti capitalist agenda for years. Every time a car plant shuts I'm sure they are highly delighted.
Very true Dave50. The doom mongers don't like to admit it but the internal combustion engine car is, like it or not, on it's last lap. In 2017 Britain announced a £246m investment in battery technology for electric vehicles as it aims to “establish the UK as world leader” in the sector. This initiative was called the Faraday Challenge.
//The UK has world class expertise across a range of areas in battery science and has already built a significant number of research networks and pilot facilities upon which this challenge will build.//

We still have the know how and technical expertise to lead the World...…..we just need the will. We can only do this by confining the hand wringers and gainsayers to the dustbin of history. We must at all costs also get the EUSSR out of all of our trade and manufacturing control rooms. Our patents and brands have been steadily stripped from us, with the connivance of the Euromaniacs, Federalist one World order fanatics, to weaken and then enslave us in the vile pyramid scheme. Kick the foreign manufacturers out and make then clean up the sites they leave behind and not leave it to the British tax payer to detox them.
