A patient has a body surface area of 1 .42 square meters. The recommended dose is 3.3 milligram per square meter of BSA. The label on the bottle reads 25 milligrams per milliliter. The patient was actually given 1.3 milliliters of methotrexate sodium. Was the appropriate dose given? If not, what should the dose be?

Depends what it's being given for. Some patients can tolerate higher doses of Methotrexate than others and it's nothing to do with body size or mass.

Average dose of MTX is 15mg once weekly.

Great way to deter people from asking questions on a question and answer site. Similarly those who direct puzzlers to other sites – or tell questioners to google. Where the questioner chooses to seek answers is his choice and no one is obliged to answer - but a little thought about helping to maintain the well-being of the site wouldn’t go amiss.
Need 3.3 x 1.42 / 25
No calculator b but approx 0.2 ml needed
"Great way to deter people from asking questions on a question and answer site".
There is a difference between "asking questions on a question and answer site" and interfering with someone's tests to see if they can work things out when they are obviously being tested and are trying to cheat by getting others to do their studying for them.
