I have a pair of black patent boots (real Leather)
I wore them yesterday but they were so stiff on the legs I could hardly walk in them ,
when I took them off I had deep indentations on my legs where the leather had dug in they are not tight but just very stiff and I think it was the leather just bending when my legs moved in the boot, is there anything I can do to make the leather a bit softer,
googling for help only gives information on stretching but that is not what I need

If you google Patent leather softener quite a few will come up for you to choose from.
I used to use saddle soap on leather hiking boots. I`m not sure I would risk it on fashion boots - might be worth doing a test patch
Could you use a hair dryer to soften leather - maybe perhaps while you are wearing them?
If you try the hairdryer careful of the glue holding the soles on. Patent is usually plastic over leather so I'd be wary of using heat and I don't think saddle soap would penetrate the plastic coating
Ignore my post I didn't take in the word patent, sorry
Also try some leather soap on the inside just one of many.

My mother used to’soap’ my shoes if they were hard when new.
I guess the other thing you could do is to wear them indoors and walk around for a while to try and brake them in. A few minutes at a time.
I can't see anything penetrating the plastic coating, so you will need to treat from the inside. I think you also need to be careful that the treatment you choose doesn't start to make the plastic coating separate from the leather, thus rendering your boots useless.

thank you for all the answers , I don,t think rubbing anything on the inside would help as they have soft lining not just bare animal skin
Hmmmm, cold bath or shower?

Works for me, every time.

what? me or the boots
they were very expensive so I don,t want to damage them
If they're from a very good retailer take them back and ask their advice. If it was normal leather and not patent, I'd say saddle soap, but again not sure of the effect on the finish. x
