Some of these have 3 sensors (one forward faceing and two sideways on) and some don't. Is there much discernable difference when it comes to capturing footage? If the 3 way ones were brilliant, wouldn't they all come like that?

But it’s reduced by 50% - bargain!

I’ve had one of these delivered today - I presume the sideways sensor is to tell the camera bit to switch on and start recording (ps - it looks really good and was 50% off).

Hi sherrardk. Which one did you get? I got a Crenova one but it was faulty so I sent it back. I`m looking at the Apeman H55 but it doesnt have the sideways sensors.
Mine all have 3 sensors. I would assume 3 is better as the camera would be trigered from the sides, thus giving more chance of capturing nocturnal visitors.
It’s a Zopu - it was the first one to come up on the search and was reduced to £50 from £100 and available on Amazon prime (probably should have done a bit of research before I bought it).

Tuvok - that's what I thought. I was wondering though if there are 3 sensors hidden inside the casing of the ones that just have the one. I want a 16mp one and would like 3 sensors. The other brand I have been looking at is Tvird (don't want to buy Crenova again) which has one.
According to the blurb about the one I bought it is 16mp (maybe I made an okay choice after all).

Just had a look at the Zopu. It seems to have what I want which is at least 40 LEDs, they have to be low glow, wide angle sensors and 16mp. It only has 5 reviews though.

There are so many, it's difficult to know where where to start. A lot of people seem to receive faulty ones like I did. Just as you find something you like, other possibilities pop up.
This guy is a user as well as a seller - worth a look before you decide.

Thanks 4candles. I settled on the Apeman H70 in the end. I thought the lack of side sensors might be a good thing as there is a large bamboo in the garden and when it blows about in the wind, it could set it off so the forward sensor might be more targetable.
