I honestly believe that answerbank depends too much on certain post
These posts put abers in a certain position on here,
Like Mamy with her late night music,the birthday post,good morning early birds,what did you have for dinner,all these posts are same as same as,and will eventually without change result in the demise of answerbank,and yes I expect the usual,if you feel that way why stay?and some will turn this post into a slanging match till it gets pulled,yes answerbank has been around a long time,but nothing lasts forever,

I've two suggestions that would go some way to solving this recurring issue:

1: Remove CB posts from the front page and 'latest posts'. Those who want to chat know where CB is.
2: Remove CB posts from people's post counts. They are not questions and answers in the spirit of the site. They are topics for discussion and replies. [Many in news are too]

People like me joined the site to read interesting questions, to help where possible. Although I miss a lot as I can't use the site when I'm at work, there's very little to interest me or to respond to when I am here.
I don't mind CB being available to those who want it, and clearly I do read some contributions, but when it's all over the entry page it's offputting for me and must be for potential new contributors.

I do think a good Debating Section where the cut and thrust is a little sharper would liven the place up, where one could deliberately post controversial statements, questions or topics for sensible debate ( not just a Bear Pit where people have at each other with random insults- the insults would have to make sense and be in context ;-) I do find some of the debating on here a little tame because of some of the mods being keen to very strictly enforce the rules to keep the peace (which is fair enough) and some debaters getting a little lathered pressing their point. It would be nice if we could loosen things up just a little in one section- where it's known if you stray you're going to get challenged.

CB. Q&P, Crosswords and possibly a couple of other topics don't appear on the front page (ie the page you get if you click the 'house' or Answerbank header).

Point 2 makes sense only if you see AB membership as a competition, I doubt many do.

You get the home page by clicking on Answerbank above it too.

If I click the house or the big Answerbank I see the same 6 topics as if I hadn't including including CB and Q&P so that confuses me?

Latest posts stay the same but the content of the page doesn't include certain topics if you scroll down.

Apologies for that misconception - when I see the front page it doesn't state what category the posts are in and I made assumptions based upon the subjects. That aside - why aren't Crosswords and Quizzes on the front page? They are genuine 'questions' imho and should be there.

My other suggestions stand though. And I do believe there are post count and BA gatherers around! They bleat about it often enough. :)
