In light of Ed's absence I am bringing you the monthly Quizzes & Puzzles Round Up!

1. Christmas Charity Quiz. In aid of Stepping Stones Day Nursery. The quiz is a mixture of Pictures, Festive Food and Drink, Christmas Movies, A Sporting Christmas, Christmas Day Historical Events and Christmas Mixed Bag. £1 entry fee. Closing date 4th February 2019.
2. It's Playtime. In aid of Hardwick Pre School. 100 Assorted questions the answers to which are all popularly played games. Minimum of £1 entry fee. Closing date 6th February 2019.
3. Occupations Quiz. £1 entry fee. Closing date 20th February 2019.
4. ‘Double L Together’ Quiz. In aid of Treetops Hospice Care. One word answers that contain "double L" together. £1 entry fee. Closing date 22nd February 2019.
5. St Columba's Church Parts of the body Quiz. 25 mixed questions and the answers are all part of the body. 50p entry fee. Closing date 26th February 2019.
6. A Bird in the Hand Quiz. Raising money for Water Aid. All answers are people or animals, real or imaginary, who have the name of a type of bird hidden somewhere in their name. £1 entry fee. Closing date 28th February 2019.
7. "Happy Families" Quiz - for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Closing date 28th February 2019.
8. First Step & Williams Syndrome Foundation Quiz. 100 questions, puzzles and pictures, some not so difficult, others much harder. £5 entry fee. Closing date 28th February 2019.
9. Dressed from Head to Toe. In aid of Alzheimer's Society. £1 entry fee. Closing date 28th February 2019.
10. TV Quiz. In aid of St. Giles in the wood village Hall. £1 entry fee. Closing date 28th February 2019.

11. New Quiz in Aid of Spalding Gentlemen’s Society Charity. All proceeds will go to the Society for its current and future funding needs. Closing date 1st March 2019.
12. New Year quiz. In aid of the Romanian Aid Foundation. £1 entry fee. Closing date 9th March 2019.
13. Friockheim BC new H.S quiz. 50P entry fee. Closing date 16th March 2019.
14. Shaw & Crompton Committee 2019 Family Fundraiser. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. £1 entry fee. Closing date 16th March 2019.
15. Something Old - Something New. Proceeds to Magpas Charity. 100 assorted questions. Closing date 15th March 2019.
16. 32 questions quiz. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. 50p entry fee. Closing date 21st March 2019.
17. At The Library. 40 questions on things related to the library. £1 entry fee. Closing date 31st March 2019.

18. New Quiz BQ24 for St Mary's Church. All proceeds will go to the Hall Refurbishment Fund. Closing date 6th April 2019.
19. Cystic Fibrosis quiz. Some ditloids, 1980’s artists and proverbs (with vowels taken out). £1 entry fee. Closing date 6th April 2019.
20. The Kitchen Quiz. in aid of Breast Cancer Care. £1 entry fee. Closing date 14th April 2019.
Closing in June 2019
21. The Children's Society Spring Quiz. All answers contain the word 'In' or 'Out'. This quiz is not available online. £1 entry fee. Closing date 30th June 2019.
Closing in October 2019
22. Blesma Quiz. All of the answers are the names of places in Great Britain. £1 entry fee. Closing date 31st October 2019.
23. Buxton Mountain Rescue Quiz. 60 questions Cryptic/General Knowledge/Anagrams of place names in British Isles containing an item of clothing, jewellery or accessory. £1 entry fee. Closing date 31st October 2019.

Results of Songs popular during the War Years in aid of Nairn Hydrotherapy Pool
212 entries were received, 102 were correct.
This quiz raised £268 - a fantastic amount.
The winners drawn by the Physiotherapist were

£5 - Mrs Nisbet, Nairn
£5 - Mrs Cheetham, Lincs.
Thank you all so much for supporting this quiz and helping to raise such a great amount.

I am sorry if this will inconvenience you but it seems as if cheques will soon be a thing of the past.

Stepping Stones Christmas Quiz 2018 - Results
Thank you for all of your support, £146 was raised which will be used to buy equipment for Stepping Stones.
Only one person got the maximum 75 out of 75 and wins first prize, one got 74 and two got 73 so the third place winner’s name was pulled out of the proverbial hat. Prize winners are as follows:

2nd Mr Tony Stewart - Millom
3rd Mrs C.Gifford - Swansea
