Windows Stop Code Irql

Yesterday I had an automatic update install from microsoft. Now, every time I try to start up Outlook, the screen displays a message that says, in effect, the machine has encountered an error and it will automatically restart. The error code is IRQL. Everything else works. Is there anybody out there who can tell me how to fix this please?

I have a very old version of Microsoft Office and nowadays each time Windows is updated Outlook keeps falling over. If you have your original Office disc, go into Control Panel > Programs, select Office and click "Repair". That always fixes it for me (till the next Windows update).
