Adhering Acrylic Sheet To Glass

I`m looking to covering a hole in a window with a rigid acrylic sheet. I need to do this on a shoestring, however suitable adhesives seem to cost a fortune. The sheets with which I wish to cover the hole are A4 size, so shouldn`t need much adhesive - unless there is another way?
Any ideas please?

Epoxy adhesive ( 'Araldite' type) About £2 for a tube.
I'd check down the back of the sofa to see if the means to buy a sheet of glass is there.

It's cheap.
Not used this personally, but seems to fit the bill.

Screwfix also make a clear version of that adhesive - slightly more expensive but will be better for glass. I've used the white version for outdoor work and it's good stuff.
I recently had a conversation re gluing acrylic sheet as a splash-back in the kitchen with my builder – he said that he had experienced some glues leaching through the acrylic material, resulting in a blotchy coloured surface.

He was at a loss to explain how this could happen with the acrylic being an impervious material – but advised testing any glue on a small sample of material (just in case).
