I have a Honeywell wired doorbell it has a transformer it is positioned in my hallway but my kitchen is in the back of the house and i cannot hear it. Can i add another device to it, or would i have to replace with a portable one and remove the original one?.
It can be done because I've done it, but it's a bit too complicated to explain on here. What you could do is buy a baby alarm; treat the current bell as the baby and have the receiver in the kitchen.
Depending on how flush you are, lilly, Amazon do this
Honeywell DC313NHGBS 3 Series Plug in doorbell with Additional Portable Unit
which has a battery unit which hangs by your front door and a mains unit which you plug in where you like.
It’s £55, but it’s as sound as a pound, and no problems with neighbours car alarms etc.
