I say.. It depends.

Of course any posts you question against the rules, you could / should report.
No it shouldn't
It's often unfortunate when flippancy is introduced to a real and genuine plea in a serious topic - Health or Law for example. It can make a difference if you and the OP are known to each other and share a sense of fun but best left to sensible replies largely,

Just my view.

I'm quite sure I've done it myself.
I think, for example, if two users know that they don't get along, used flippancy on the other persons post, then that should probably be removed because it is just winding the other up for a response. They should also probably know to leave each other alone.

If you feel egged on by anyone or irritated then don't rise to it, because that's what is wanted.

I know i can sometimes be flippant, but not out of malice, but by immaturity. Malice should be removed. Immaturity should be catered for ;)
I think it depends....if it abuses or demeans others especially the OP then I think it probably does already break Site Rules......the answer is of course that if you don't like it then report it.
I may have misunderstood, I took flippancy to mean lightheartedness and joking not abuse.

Read the rules, if you think they have been broken then use the report function.
I would probably leave the OP to report it if they wished to.
I took flippancy to mean lack seriousness OR respect, but not both at the same time.
