is there a term for the grey hair that grows in women that's just in one spot (usually near the parting) the example i can think of is Rosa from eastenders (louise jameosn)

Bizarrely I know this one! It’s called a Mallen streak (I am so amazed that I remembered this from our swimming teacher when I was in primary school - a long time ago).
Poliosis or Mallen Streak.

This is an interesting thread. I had never heard of Poliosis before.
Plus, although I had vaguely heard of the "The Mallen Streak" novels/serial, I didn't realise that the 'streak' was the white forelock.
