In many blocks of flats or shared houses etc they have light switches, that you push in, and the light comes on... then the switch slowly comes out again, and turns the light off - after about about 30 seconds or so, giving people enough time to get up the stairs etc.

I am looking for some of these, but battery operated ones that have a light attached - all the ones i've ever seen are just wired into the mains and replace normal light switches

no idea what they are called or what to use as search terms - or if these even exist!
so far all i am finding is the mains operated ones

thanks

The mains switches are in demand, so common. Unsure if there's sufficient demand for battery versions. Probably need a little box of electronics with a timer to cut the power off.

Maybe websearch for timers ?
You have another thread where you are asking for an LED string with a battery box at both ends.
Please can you tell us exactly what you are trying to do? We might be able to make some suggestions if you do.
