Missing Footballer And Pilot

I've been following the Twitter updates by the Guernsey Police and the searches have been suspended for the night although so many people are urging them to carry on into the night. They've said that this is now a recovery mission as there is little hope in finding them alive, if found at all. They will make a decision whether to continue tomorrow morning.

It is sad Tigger after what had happened recently at Leicester City, I have hoped and still do however slim that these two would be found ok.

Seems a bit odd that the aircraft requested to descend from 5000ft to less than half of it's altitude but then no Mayday call. I feel sorry for the footballer's parents who are so far away.

I was wondering if the ailerons, rudder, elevators etc were icing up and that is why the pilot requested a descent path.Too late,loss of control and splash.

It's icing on the wing surface that causes problems though because it distrupts the air flow over the wings and thus the aerodynamics of the plane.

Yep, at least the other person on board is getting a mention now. You'd have been forgiven for thinking the plane was flying itself from the news reports until yesterday.

I never heard any mention of a pilot, even unnamed. Just a plane that had gone down with a footballer on board.
