Ummmmm re your old injury I remember my great having trouble with a swollen ankle. She had broken it on the front lines serving there as a Red Cross nurse during WW1 and it gave her trouble for the rest of her life.
Weird as it doesn't hurt but can cause problems with footwear.
I can imagine but it’s good that it doesn’t hurt. Does your job require a lot of standing/walking? How do you cope with it?
I'm back after an extended and difficult holiday period. Weighed in after three weeks only a pound up which was gone by this morning. If I might chip into the weighing daily thing, It can be a problem for those who already have obsessive tendencies with food, weight, health etc and can drive unhealthy behaviours. Officially I was advised to stop weighing myself as I get dangerously target driven but the temptation is too great. Mostly I weigh twice a week, and use a body composition analyser once a month.
Hi Rowan, it’s good to hear from you....just a pound on and now gone......well done you! I have been wondering where you were so glad to see you back and on track. I can imagine it was a difficult season for you. You really are a fighter.
I think we’ll bury the weighing thing.....it’s getting a bit Bolshie.....into the bottom drawer with it!

This is the first time there has been disagreement on here . It is more than 5 years since xstitcher and myself started this posts only meant for ideas and recipes etc . And to say about loss and gains .Why bring my name up Sqad .it is so easy for someone to reply to posts with answers found reading from books reading between the lines .i don’t think you are a dr . Don’t you remember we had a conversation years ago you worked at Nottingham general hospital same time as I did . I won’t be replying to your answer as that is not what these posts are about

Well done to ROWAN you know how to keep on track . .
Still only around 26 lbs but losing inches and increasing muscle mass. Down two dress sizes so slowly getting where I want to be. I would settle for being a healthy well toned size 16-18 to be honest. I have been a 10 and looked pretty awful. Once I get there I will reassess. Decorating is my work out at the moment up and down ladders and bending stretching with the roller.... I ache more than I did after the gym.
rowan you are doing well and working it out yourself what is best for you . I found that when I went lower under 14 people were asking me if I was feeling ok . so I like 14 to 16 ,but not to go over 16 .I used to do all my wall papering but legs wont let me go up and down ladders now.
Wendilla like it or not age has to be respected and I mean our own age. Ladders and us don’t go together.
You’re setting realist goalposts Rowan. That’s the best ways to reach success. Two dress sizes is quite an achievement.

wet.

Morning all hope you have had a good week .I have stayed the same but that is my usual pattern .Just need to lose about half a stone before the spring .So its back to the drawing board .Not easy in this weather but we do know what to do .Everyone is different and find there own way much better than someone telling you what to do. So we welcome your recipies.
