Wired Doorbell

I have a Honeywell wired doorbell it has a transformer it is positioned in my hallway but my kitchen is in the back of the house and i cannot hear it. Can i add another device to it, or would i have to replace with a portable one and remove the original one?.

It can be done because I've done it, but it's a bit too complicated to explain on here. What you could do is buy a baby alarm; treat the current bell as the baby and have the receiver in the kitchen.
Google 'doorbell extension'. There's plenty of information there.
I'd just get wireless door bell something like this - you can add more if you need to

which has a battery unit which hangs by your front door and a mains unit which you plug in where you like.
It’s £55, but it’s as sound as a pound, and no problems with neighbours car alarms etc.
