Any Glaswegians logged in and can suggest the best way to spend 3 days/nights staying near George Sq.
We're both old, so nothing too tiring ,but I've read that the 'new' Willow tearooms are worth a visit and so too is Jamie's Italian restaurant in George Sq. itself? Saturday needs something to do or visit and I know there are a few 'boozers' in Glasgow and we might visit one or two ( I like Drouthys),it's friendly, but not Wetherspoons.
Anyway it's not for 2wks. yet
Cheers

I'd get on the bus/train and come to Edinburgh !!
If you like Thai food, the Chaophraya on Buchannan Street is very good. And the restaurant itself is in a magnificent old building (old music college I believe).

Also Sarti’s cafe / coffee shops (I think there are 3) are worth a visit.

No, I don't ZacsMaster, but thank you for the knowledge.Oh! and why should I come to Edinburgh murraymints;it's overpriced, over hyped and over hilly-the last time I was in The World they charged me £6 for a pint and it was rubbish!
lots to see and do in Edinburgh..great transport system ..and don't eat/drink in the tourist traps... plenty of places that are reasonable..
