She says that the UK faces ‘unchartered territory’ and if vote lost ‘no one knows what will happen'.
But she has had two years to make sure that the territory is well and truly chartered, surely? If her 'Brexit in name only deal' is voted out, shouldn't she resign forthwith?

Well done TCL.

Just for the record, I saw the clip of her interview, and she did say 'unchartered territory', which is acceptable English in this context.
No Khandro, it's not acceptable English, in any context - it's just plain wrong, and doesn't mean anything. Like when people say 'pacifically' instead of 'specifically', and 'should of' etc.

'Uncharted territory' - territory that has not yet been mapped.
Agreed GG. Kill her, kill her with fire.
She'll be ordering an Expresso next :(
Indeed, kval. She probably shops in Tesco's :)
So many puns, so little time :) x
I've listened to the clip and she says "uncharted territory" as do the subtitles.
We're all guilty of the occasional solar system.
(Talking of solar systems I can't get the "Word" in this week's Listener)
He means solipsism, clever turn of phrase.
// If her 'Brexit in name only deal' is voted out, shouldn't she resign forthwith? //

um no because that bit is not uncharted territory ....

she may not be prime minister but the party will resist any move towards a general election

we know that bit at least
the men in power like being in power and will do anything.....
oh dear
unchartered
are we going for 'form' or meaning ?

so that if putin says 'nucular' instead of nuclear
that excludes any use of atomic weapons ?

as 3T says - righto!

No I don't< Jackdaw (if that was meant for me).

But a Happy New Year to you anyway.

Unchartered def. Adj.

Not having a charter or written constitution.

If you're trying to negotiate with people who don't want to negotiate, all they want to do is shoot down whatever you say, it's impossible to get an agreement. Personally I would resign and let one of those who proposed Brexit in the first place take over, they obviously had wonderful ideas, didn't they? She's been brave to stick it out so long.

Sums up Teresa May and her negotiating team rather well.
