I haven't missed much last year ;)

Just a reminder that Part 2 of The Canterbury Tales is on Radio 4 from 05/01/19 at 14:30

Thanks choux, I did reasonably well in the quiz (well, 14 out of 20) but I gave up on the first part of the Canterbury Tales after 5 minutes!

Well done Pooka. Perhaps Harvey is more up your street than Chaucer ;)
Harvey...?
Question Author
James Stewart in the film Harvey - the famous pooka.
Oh of course, the 6 foot rabbit! That's me! ;-)
Question Author
Thought so, the film was released in 1950 too!
16 out of 20.

I didn't realise the Canterbury Tales would be broadcast, and I will try to avoid it. I can't bear those storylines of theatrical productions. Hopefully Lynda will give up now as promised.
Question Author
I thought the production made a welcome change from the usual pantomime and was rather well done. I guessed the special contribution by a resident would be Peggy's but thought Jazzer might end up with the table at Grey Gables.
Well done Hopkirk. I bet Lynda doesn't give up though. What I do wish they would give up is some of those silly storylines e.g the Ian/Adam/Lexi/Roy nonsense and annoying Helen with Karate Man. I sometimes wonder why I still listen.
Question Author
Lexit is a bit similar to Brexit now ...

If only Helen had met karate man before the Titchener attack ...
There are quite a few annoying characters.

Does anyone else get irritated by Ruth, Pip, Josh, Will and Tom's new girlfriend. I am also struggling to take to Ruari.
Question Author
Natasha - the Welsh Wizard - she knows it all or so she thinks. Can't believe they take her advice so readily. Ruari is (almost) as annoying as Henry. When will the family realise how overwhelmed Elizabeth is?

Josh (played by Celia Imrie's son) has always annoyed me - such an aspiring entrepreneur who likes to rule the roost at Bridge Farm.

Ruth's affected accent is too strong for my liking.

I keep waiting for Russ to have a Rob Titchener moment!

Oh yes, Russ is bubbling away about to explode.
The actor who plays Ruth appeared on Pointless a while ago. Her normal voice is quite pleasant, and she admitted she twangs it up for Ruth.
