Just stuck the TV on and Mary Poppins is on.
I have given it ten minutes and feel the urge to ask...

Why and how do people over the age of 8 watch this stuff?

You did watch it Talbot, Happy Christmas!
I am happy to say I have never seen it.
Because we have children/grandchildren under 8 maybe??? I'm getting my half yearly dose of Disney!
I like to switch between this one and James Stewart Shouts At Snow.

Utterly missable.
It is appreciated by people who have young children, and that's what it was aimed at. A family film.
Prudie; today my daughter and i were discussing the film 'Bird Box' and i said i will probably watch it tonight. She said she would probably do so, too. I have just watched it (Netflix) and phoned her to ask if she had. "No, i've just watched Gremlins," replied my 34 year old daughter:-/
It's lovely and nostalgic.
I don't want to watch the new one just coming out. It's had some bad reviews. Just leave us with our memories.

I've seen a clip from the new one, and Emily Blunt has the most ridiculous put-on 'posh' accent, absolutely expialli-atrocious.

But folks, wait till you hear John Malkovich as Hercule Poirot....
Think you are trapped in Sound of Music PP

How coincidental ...just woke up from my Chrismas dinner power nap and Chitty chitty bang bang is on.

Seems better than Poppins...what do you think?

(Is that Ellie Goulding's mum?)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is too long. Bedknobs is best with "Portobello Road" and the Witch Correspondence Course.
