How Do You Choose Between Two Different Career Sectors?

It's that time of the year where one is faced upon the heavy decision of what they will be slaving away to for the rest of their lives.. a career, hopefully one that you'll enjoy and will have stable income.
Anyways, I'm stuck trying to make that choice, I have an interest in biology and have taken a notice on microbiology but I also have quite the interest in accounting and it seems like a comfortable job to do. My main problem is the lack of experience between the two to really decide what I'd like to do more, I do biology which is interesting but I don't know where to draw the line of "I'd love to do further studies of this" and "Its the subject I can bear the most out of all", sometimes I think its #2 and I'm just fooling myself to think I'd like to do biology when really I just want to pick something and get it over with.
I did not pick Accounting for my senior year because I wanted to try out Phychem (which i'm no good at). I have tried accounting before in my junior year and enjoyed it a lot.
My second problem is, I'm not sure which will make me happy.
- I love quiet places, I'm introverted, I love my free time but don't mind working if it's interesting and worthwhile. I believe accounting and microbiology (or some other biology career you can recommend me with info) both fit in that category.
My third problem is I'm totally unsure if I am really mentally capable of (e.g logical thinking/brains) even working in an industry like microbiology where one makes cures to diseases that saves millions of lives especially with those super bugs, which is what interested me in the first place about this course, but it sounds like I'd have a huge timer on my chest about to blow. Accounting sounds more chill, you just do your thing everyday, hopefully with free time after too + good pay (9-5).
I'm leaning more towards Accounting simply because of all these problems of me constantly questioning myself and in the end I keep asking the same question again.. would that really make me happy? I don't know. I just don't want to have regrets. A lot of people get surprised when I tell them that I want to do a career in one of those career sectors which I believe is because they are very different things (which still I don't understand why they are so surprised), they don't offer much help or career advise. My career guidance counsellor is useless at his job too btw.
So, basically, how do I make such an important decision and not feel like the "wait maybe I should have picked the other one"? How do I know which one is for me?

Only you can really decide. You could try tossing a coin, I think you'd soon realise if it gave the wrong answer, in good time to change.
Sadly, many careers advisors are pretty useless - I started on the wrong path having taken such a person's advice.

No one knows in advance if they've made the best choice. Just strive to make a goid choice. All of life will concern being decisive with limited/insufficient knowledge and making the decision work well anyway. If you can't decide easily then probably both/many are reasonable choices.
(If truly stuck, toss a coin to decide; and then ask yourself if you'd rather it was the 'best of three'. It's a reasonable way to know how you truly feel, deep down, even if not wanting to admit it.)

I would opt for a career in some biological field. Maybe Marine Biology --see the world whilst you have the energy and enthusiasm. Or maybe something in Medical research.
You can always sit accountancy exams in later life and then maybe branch out on your own . I know quite a few accountants who work from home . You could have the best of both worlds . But that is what I would do. Only you can decide what to do in life. Good luck with whatever you choose to do .

Plenty of rich accountants, but is it a passion career for any of them? I doubt it. Most scientists I know are passionate about their field, and it fills them with excitement or at least a lust for knowledge. As the previous two posters said you can always do accountancy in later life.
