In light of Ed's absence I am bringing you the monthly Home & Garden thread!

Last month's thread is here.

The weather is bleak, have you taken any frost precautions?

no need here, its still mild and wet wet wet. On the upside, the autumn colour this year was stunning and my mimosa and camellias are full of buds
Had some evil frosts at ground level but so far so good up on 7th floor. Everything doing well, cabbages looking really healthy. And still have rocket by the bucket load. It must be the easiest thing in the world to grow. Sprouting new seeds on window ledge trying pink kale and red cabbage as well as broccoli, mustard, cress, and red radish. Using the wet paper towel method and getting great results.
I've placed a ball of scrunched up bracken fronds on top of my tree fern to protect the crown from frost.
Hopefully every thing else should be hardy enough.
District second for veg plot in Birmingham in bloom..... I reckon there were only two in Edgbaston district so I was last as well. Better luck next year, know where I dropped points.

Had a couple nights of hard frost which finally did for the nasturtiums which have bloomed for months. Everything else is fine and it's quite mild now.
