So I don't need my cutlery set with my name on a plaster I used to have to take to TA parties as a child, phew!

Posh.
You might need your dish though, Mamya.
Dish, check!
We always eat at the table, breakfast and evening meal. Only have a tablecloth on when we have visitors, we normally just have table mats, but like to dress it up a bit with visitors!
No mamy. And it's finger food because i don't want to have to frisk anyone for cutlery........
No wine for me thanks (I wouldn't appreciate it) just chuck me can of strongbow and a packet of crisps.
Crafty.
No wine for me either, beer or whiskey or both but not in the same glass thanks.
I've got Strongbow! And bulmers. In fact I've got so much booze in for Christmas it makes oddbins look like the temperance society.

I am SUCH a wine snob tho. Mr BM asked me why I bought a particular bottle of wine. Was it the grape? The year? The way it accompanies food? No. It was a pretty bottle that i can put lights in when im done drinking and it was reduced..........
No, I have never used a table cloth.
Oh dear. I suspect that if one has to claim to be a member of an elite group it may well demean the dizzy height to which one aspires.
Apparently I'm common as mook and they're posh as fook, just gimme a pint of gin and a fish finger sarnie eaten off me naked table.
I'll have you know I have eaten fish and chips off newspaper! ;)
Kval. I have gin. Indeed next door but one (loosely cos this is the sticks) has a gin distillery.

Sadly I read that as "eat off me naked". That's a bit kinky.......
Always, but mostly to add colour to the room, and to cover the poor old table! not posh cloths though and no napkins.

That reminds me of other atrocities that we've put our table through that the Hycinth Buckets wouldn't approve of lol, they'd definitely want a cloth on it after that ;-) x
Barmaid best you get one of these to protect your cutlery lol xx

sherrardk - apologies if you thought I was having a dig; absolutely not the case and not my style at all.
Interestingly, the reason you don't have a cloth is the reason we do - we always had a "nude" table and used mats until laptops came along and lived at one end and we find a protector and table-cloth is a better way of making sure the table surface doesn't get damaged.

Well who knew tablecloths could be so divisive!
I find kitchen roll very good as a napkin, except on Christmas Day when I push the boat out and buy festive paper ones.
Paper ones are rubbish - they always fall off your lap and end up on the floor!
